I’ve been slowly escaping life’s demons

If I had a decision…I wouldn’t change a thing

Through turbulent and tranquil seas, I stay resilient

Battling, traveling into freezing rain

I will arm myself for the journey ahead

Staying afloat during the chaotic flood

I’ve found an island to find refuge

To keep warm as my breath catches up

Darkness lifts to light

It seems the storm has passed
